Superstar artist and comics luminary Sir Robert Liefeld took to Twitter yesterday to share his opinions on the state of the superhero movie industry. To kick things off, Liefeld expressed excitement for DC’s upcoming Wonder Woman film, which has been getting good reviews and seems likely to be a hit at the box office:

Yes, we frequently remark to our friends who are females, wouldn’t it be great if more females would direct superhero films whose heroes are also females? “Females, females, females,” we say, as they stare at us blankly wondering why we don’t just say “women.”

Liefeld also had some thoughts on the new Guardians of the Galaxy theme park ride, and how it affects Fox’s ability to compete in the superhero space with their X-Men films:

Of course, Fox has something that the Marvel Cinematic Universe does not: the most popular Rob Liefeld creations, Deadpool and Cable. As a side note, can you imagine what an R-Rated Deadpool theme park ride would be like? Somebody please make this happen.

About Jude Terror

A prophecy says that in the comic book industry's darkest days, a hero will come to lead the people through a plague of overpriced floppies, incentive variant covers, #1 issue reboots, and super-mega-crossover events.

Scourge of Rich Johnston, maker of puns, and seeker of the Snyder Cut, Jude Terror, sadly, is not the hero comics needs right now... but he's the one the industry deserves.
