Previews Of Secret Empire #3, Secret Empire Uprising #1, Captain America: Sam Wilson #22 With Tiny Spoilerage…

A month ago, I write a piece after having read advance copies of Secret Empire #2 and #3, and Secret Empire: Uprising #1.

Those final two issues are out tomorrow, as is Captain America: Sam Wilson #22, tying in. And there are preview pages for all injected into this follow-up.

I said that the finale of Secret Empire #2 would be interpreted in many different ways, I didn't expect anyone to go the Ultimate Captain America route, even as more and more Ultimate characters have been making their way into the Marvel Universe. After reading #3, and you'll see it in these, I expect a more metaphysical interpretation, the non-physical location of the scene aside from "Hope", being attacked by Serpents in the Garden, and a doomed maiden possibly representing Steve Rogers' mother. I said at the time that #3 would make what was going on slightly clearer but it's far from crystal.

I also mentioned that #3 had a Marvel hero going Hydra without any mind control and it made sense. And it still does. I'm thinking Mitchell and Webb. Have you googled for "Overton window" yet? You should.

Hydra Youth! Toldja. And, yes, reread this page of Dazzler #21 from 1992 before reading Secret Empire: Uprising #1… A little girl on sunlit lawn…

And you get this…

Dazzler was clearly a big thing in Russia. While Captain America: Sam Wilson #22 remind you of what's been going on far more succinctly than USAvengers and Captain Marvel managed to do…
