The Creator Of 'Seaman' Teases A Sequel Is In Progress

Back in the day, I used to go to a specific game shop to check out new titles as we were going through the changes from the late '90s to early '00s change in gaming. One day, the owner of the shop decides he's going to pop open a new Dreamcast game called Seaman for people to play in the shop, and having the day off, a friend and I spent a couple hours playing it on his system as he and others would check out what was going on with our virtual fish with a person's head that would talk back to you. At the end of that time, we knew two things: Leonard Nimoy was the best part of the game and that copy would soon be on the "Used" shelf.

For all of the attention it got at the time, Seaman was an oddity title that turned your system into an aquarium that you had to leave on for hours to actually get things going. The game has a small set of devoted fans while most Dreamcast players call it the one poor title among the bunch. Well, if you enjoy it, we got news for you. Creator Yutaka "Yoot" Saito is now in the process of creating a proper sequel and teased it on Twitter with a small team wearing t-shirts of the Frogman logo on them for Twitter.

No word on what system it will be developed for or any kind of timetable to teaser info about it. We doubt we'll see anything for it at E3. But to think this game is getting a sequel… we're really not sure what to think. Well, except to wonder if Zachary Quinto will be doing the voice for this one.
