Dwayne Johnson Throws His Support Behind Armie Hammer For Shazam

The casting behind superheroes is something that will always make for interesting news stories. While there are plenty of rumors the DC universe in particular is one littered with rumors and people campaigning to play a hero. Armie Hammer is a name that keeps coming up with it comes to the DCUS mostly because he was once cast as Batman. While he is usually rumored to play a Green Lantern Dwayne Johnson suggested another hero for Hammer to play without naming Hammer by name according to Screent Rant and We Got This Covered.

"I'm not even going to tell you his name, I'm just going to say Lone Ranger… I just remember meeting him and walking away going, 'Man, that guy would look great, I bet, as Shazam.' And by the way, he's one of a handful."

The reference is to that fact that Hammer played the Lone Ranger in the disastrous movie from 2013. Hammer was basically playing a version of a super hero in The Man from U.N.C.L.E. so it's really only a matter of time before someone scoops him up and puts a costume on him. Johnson is already signed onto the DCEU as Shazam nemesis Black Adam and the only movement on the production thus far was the decision to give Black Adam his own movie.
