CBS Renews 'Elementary' And 'The Amazing Race'

CBS announced that they are renewing Elementary for a sixth season and The Amazing Race for a thirtieth season season according to Variety.

Elementary, the modern Sherlock Holmes adaptation that stars Jonny Lee Millter and Lucy Liu. While the show has been slowly dwindling in ratings it still averages 7.7 million viewers and 1.2 rating in adults 18-49. The show moved to Hulu and has been picking up steam in the overseas markets and the fact that it took so long for the renewal announcement was a surprise to insider and anxiety inducing for fans.

The Amazing Race, which has won a whopping fifteen Emmy's over it's twelve seasons, held its own in the 10PM Thursday slow. It averaged 6.5 million viewers and 1.5 in adults 18-49 and has been with CBS since its debut in 2001.
