Rian Johnson Approves Of 8-Bit Version Of Star Wars: The Last Jedi Trailer

There is nothing better than a little nostalgia. It's pretty much the reason why we're getting the current slate of movies we're getting, and why everything that was old is new again. It's far too easy to look at any 8-bit rendering of a famous property and call it "amazing" — but in this case, we've got something special. An 8-bit version of the Star Wars: The Last Jedi trailer appeared online, and I love it.

A lot of work clearly went into the video to craft every detail of the trailer into an 8-bit masterpiece. It appears the trailer has at least one fan in the form of Rian Johnson (director of Star Wars: The Last Jedi).

Johnson is also a Monkey Island fan. Who knew?

Star Wars: The Last Jedi will hit theaters on December 15th.
