A Rumored Mario/Rabbids Game Is In The Works For The Switch

Reported earlier today by Kotaku, Ubisoft is apparently working with Nintendo to create a game called Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle for the Nintendo Switch.

While the story doesn't name anyone specifically, the website says they received art assets confirming the existence of the game and that it will be an RPG. There will be eight playable characters, your usual crew from Mario games (Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Yoshi) with four Rabbids characters dressed to look like them. There are a lot of bits and pieces to the information, along with a target date of being released in August or September, but no official assets have been released by either company to show off what the game might become. The concept itself seems pretty cool to think about, especially since the eight characters would imply that you can do eight-player connections and battle in some way. Best guess is that we will see something at E3 which will hopefully be a playable demo. You can read the finer details in their article, but for now we'll just have to wait and see if anything happens in June.
