'Hearthstone' Passes The 70 Million Player Mark & Simultaneous Players Record

Blizzard just seems to be racking up the achievements this month. First Overwatch passes 30 million players, and now Hearthstone has surpassed 70 million players.

But that isn't the only good news as Hearthstone also broke the records for "the most simultaneous players" in a game at a single time. Part of that achievement is due in part to the new expansion the released called "Journey To En'Goro," which boosted attention to the game and got a lot of new players into the mix. Blizzard will be celebrating the occasion with three free "Journey To En'Goro" packs to anyone who logs in between now and the end of May. That includes already established players and people who may have old accounts. With any luck, that will spark enough interest to keep breaking the record and set a new bar for online games to achieve.
