The NES Classic Edition No Longer Available At Nintendo NYC

The beginning of the end for the run of the NES Classic Edition has started with an unfortunate tweet that will upset millions of gamers in the tri-state area. The system is no longer available at Nintendo NYC, as the company posted yesterday.

We already talked about the issues with Nintendo canceling the system to begin with, as well as halting the Famicom and the news of the SNES version being made. But ultimately, this feels like Nintendo throwing gasoline on their own burning building. You've already angered the fanbase, including casual fans who are not hardcore gamers and simply wanted to buy this thing for the sake of reliving better days, the last thing you need to do as a company is remind them of the decision you made, which in their minds was a dumb one. It would be nice at this point if someone from Nintendo, (ahem-Reggie-ahem) came out and told everyone what was going on and shed more light on the situation for the angry mobs, but for now, we're just counting down the days until it ends.
