A few years ago, before we got the famous court case of Batman v. Superman, Warner Bros. registered a bunch of website for possible names in advance to make sure some jerk didn’t beat them to it. It has become standard practice, especially after one really smart dude registered PokeMon.com just as the series launched in the U.S. and made bank off it a few years later when they finally caved and purchased it from him.
