Kenneth Rocafort Targets Bloodshot Salvation – Five Days 'Til #ValiantSummit 2017

Valiant's third annual #ValiantSummit event will be live streaming on Twitch.TV's Hyper RPG channel this coming Monday, April 17th. (Bleeding Cool will be there, never fear.)

And to stoke the fires, on the heels of previous Harbinger Wars 2 and Divinity-related images, Valiant has just released quite the tasty morsel with a new image by artist Kenneth Rocafort tied to the upcoming Bloodshot Salvation series by writer Jeff Lemire and artists Lewis LaRosa & Mico Suayan.

Previously announced at The Washington Post, we know that Bloodshot Salvation will split across two timelines – the present (drawn by LaRosa) and the future (drawn by Suayan). In the modern day, Bloodshot will grapple with the emergence of his newborn daughter, Jessie, who might just be more like dad than he ever could have imagined.

Promised to be a major new character for Valiant's universe, the future timeline picks up with Jessie 8 years from today as learns to use her powers to evade a team of mercs tracking her across a bleak future America.

Rocafort's image gives us our best shot of Jessie yet… What more surprises can we expect from Lemire's next ongoing Valiant series?

We'll find out for certain on Monday, April 17th at 2 pm ET/11 am PT as the 2017 #ValiantSummit kicks off live from Los Angeles with creators Christos Gage, Eric Heisserer, Jody Houser, Matt Kindt and Valiant's Dinesh Shamdasani, Warren Simons and Hunter Gorinson.

Previous summits – which have broadcasted in years past from notable locations including Twitter's San Francisco headquarters and New York's Upright Citizens Brigade Theater – have been the launching pad for many of Valiant's biggest initiatives. Last year's saw the independent publisher announce multiple new series including Faith, Britannia, Savage, Bloodshot U.S.A., and the recent Divinity III: Stalinverse event, to name but a few.
