Valiant Pioneers New Character For Stalinverse

After revealing the origins to several of the Stalinverse's new characters, Valiant has finally peeled back the history on its latest and final one, The Pioneer, inside Divinity III: Escape From Gulag 396 #1, from writer Matt Kindt and artist Juan Jose Ryp.

In the origin story, we learn that The Pioneer originates from the Kuril Islands, where her ancestors, using a mystical hammer and axe, carved out a cathedral for their lineage to peacefully prosper in.

That is, until a group of soldiers destroyed the island. Now the last of her people, the Pioneer has a big axe (and hammer) to grind with those responsible for her people's annihilation.

Wherever Valiant takes the character from here is anyone's guess, but we have little doubt that destruction won't be far behind.
