How Will Alex Respond To [Spoiler]’s Betrayal On Supergirl?

If you didn’t see last week’s Supergirl, then you may not want to read this article as we talk about the reveal from the middle of the show.

Okay, if you’re still here.

Even though Supergirl and J’onn J’onzz rescued Jeremiah Danvers from the clutches of Lillian Luthor and CADMUS, we find out that he really wan’t rescued. He was a trojan horse used to get into the DEO and make a copy of the alien registration. Now CADMUS knows where all the aliens live and they’re going to start rounding them up and killing them. This does NOT get Jeremiah the World’s Best Dad coffee cup that Alex has been saving for him all this time.

But there seems to be some gray area as to why Jeremiah is helping them and this, plus her feeling for him, puts Alex in a very difficult position. Something actress Chyler Leigh talked with about:

It’s hard because when they realize that there’s a deeper issue going on with Jeremiah, you don’t really know where his loyalties lie. When that’s questioned and Alex gets put in a position where she’s questioning it, it becomes this deep, dark intense realizing, her coming to grips with the fact that this isn’t in her control. Basically, Alex goes head-to-head with Lillian Luthor, so it’s a really powerful episode.

The only reason I can figure that Jeremiah would be helping CADMUS is if it was to keep Alex and Kara safe.
