'Final Fantasy XV' Gets An Update, And Cindy Still Doesn't Have A Mechanic's Suit

Since this is news about an update for Final Fantasy XV, we're just going to get the elephant in the room that everyone is most concerned about out of the way now. No, Cindy does not get an updated costume to make her look less like a pinup girl and more like an actual mechanic. Unless you all collectively fly to Japan and protest on Square Enix's doorstep, it's not going to happen, ever. Not that we don't want to see it, we just know better at this point.

With that out of the way… the 1.05 DLC update comes with a few different things to enhance the experience in freeplay, but nothing extravagant to the story. For starters, the PlayStation 4 Pro console Lite Mode compatibility will be updated with a maximum of 60 FPS, a new set of timed quests will be added, and the level cap has been raised to 120 for those of you who just can't stop plundering dungeons and hunting creatures for the experience. The camera roll capacity has been increased to 200 photos, just in case you feel like sharing more of your adventure. There's now a portable music player for Chocobo rides, and you finally have the ending for the Moogle Chocobo Carnival.

As for the rest of the Booster Pack and DLC, you get three new combat items, though really only one is for proper combat. The real weapon is called Ragnarok, a one-handed sword that is supposed to be all sorts of badass. Meanwhile, the other two are fishing poles, the first being the Dragon Drain which is supposed to slow fish down and keep them from breaking a line. The second is called the Avior, which is supposed to have a greater amount of power to help reel in fish with ease.

It's a fine set of updates, but honestly, until the patch comes out to amend Chapter 13 and appease fans who complained heavily about the content, there's probably very little that can be done at the moment to make fans of the series overcome with joy. That is, if you fall into the group of people who hate it, there's still a contingency of fans who have no problems with the story. And then, of course, there is the issue with the Cup Noodle hat, but you can read more about that here.
