Go Go Power Rangers! Final Fantasy XV's Magitek Exosuits Are Delayed

Square Enix has announced a delay in Final Fantasy XV's recently revealed Power Rangers-style Magitek Exosuit costumes.

The new free costumes were originally slated for a February 21st release. After getting feedback that the suits look too much like Power Rangers costumes, Square Enix has taken them back to the drawing board for a re-design. These changes come after Square was contacted by the owners of the Power Rangers intellectual property rights as a copyright issue.

The most recent Active Time Report explains that devs "spent the day looking into various things and what we've decided is to redo the design."

This latest development is part of a larger trend we're seeing with Square's handling of Final Fantasy XV problems. The holiday pack, the re-design on these suits, and Chapter 13's March 28th update indicate that director Tabata is treating the game as a live experience similar to the way MMOs operate. I'm personally a fan of that approach, but I am certainly not the rule.
