Bleeding Cool's Top 11 Hot Comic Artists Of January 2017

Remember when Wizard Magazine used to do these top ten lists every month? So do we. This list was put together after consultation with retailers, publishers and statistics regarding the demand for comic book creator's works… and placed into a mysterious algorithm.

And we added one more for luck. We just ran Top 11 Hot Comic Writers Of January 2017 over here.

Top 11 Hot Artists Of January 2017

1. Greg Capullo (Reborn, Batman, Metal). Ever when he's reborn, he is… the Bat Man. Metal awaits.

2. Fiona Staples (Saga) Just…. Saga. The best blank black pages in the business. *Sob*.

3. Raina Telgemeier (Ghosts, Drama, Sisters) When she writes and draws, she tops every chart. When she just draws – only some of them.

4. Jeffrey Brown (Clumsy, Lucy & Andy Neanderthal, Darth Vader And Son) Sorry Larroca. The best Darth Vader artist there is.

5. Sana Takeda (Monstress) No one has worked out how she creates this amazing work on that ridiculous schedule.

6. Jim Lee (Suicide Squad) He's still got it.

7. Jordie Bellaire (All-Star Batman, The Vision) The colourist with the mostest, the books she chooses are the books that blow up. She makes everything sing.

8. Stuart Immonen (All-New X-Men, Star Wars, Amazing Spider-Man) He's beautiful.

9. Jamie McKelvie (The Wicked + The Divine) Everyone wants to draw like Kitten now…

10. Geof Darrow (Shaolin Cowboy) The news of his return to comics, has attracted many moths to his flame.
