Armie Hammer Responds To Latest Green Lantern Rumors

With the news of the Green Lantern Corps film getting a script and a shortlist for Hal Jordan that included actor Armie Hammer, the Wrap asked the actor while he was in Sundance about the rumor. Hammer, with his arm in a sling, said it was the first he had heard about the role. Which is funny since he had been teasing fans about a big announcement right about the time his name came up in connection to the role of Hal Jordan before. Hammer, who played alongside of current Superman, Henry Cavill, in Man from U.N.C.L.E.would be a popular choice for the character and seems far more likely than some of the other names on the list which included: Tom Cruise, Ryan Reynolds, Jake Gyllenhaal, Bradley Cooper and Joel McHale. It would not be Hammer's first time in a mask, having played the Lone Ranger opposite Johnny Depp and once being cast as Batman for the George Miller Justice League film that never happened.

In this day and age of studios being super tight lipped, you can't really take a denial as a denial until the role is officially cast. If the video below doesn't work for you, check this link.
