Artist Bruno Redondo has been signed to an EXCLUSIVE contract with DC Comics, according to an announcement from the Nutopi@ Agency. Redondo will return as the lead artist for Injustice 2, the comic book based on the upcoming video game. The comic, which will be released digitally starting April 11 and in print (twice monthly) starting in May, will cover the gap between the first game and the sequel (which is released on May 16). Redondo joins writer Tom Taylor and artists Juan Albarran, Daniel Sampere, and Mike S. Miller.

What exactly does an EXCLUSIVE contract entail?

As an EXCLUSIVE artist, Redondo is entitled to use the luxurious DC EXCLUSIVE washroom in its Burbank headquarters, which is said to offer over 75 different varieties of bubble bath. Non-EXCLUSIVE talent poops in a bucket in the corner of Bob Harras's office, reportedly. Every year on the Summer Solstice, one EXCLUSIVE artist from Marvel or DC is chosen to be tossed into a live volcano to appease the comics gods, heralding a year's worth of retailer incentive variant covers, successful super-mega-crossover events, and fawning coverage from major media outlets. An EXCLUSIVE creator has been sacrificed every year since 1996, when Marvel's offering of Scott Lobdell was expelled unharmed from the volcano's mouth with a loud "PTTOOEEY," resulting in Marvel's bankruptcy and the near collapse of the industry soon after.

Also, EXCLUSIVE creators are not allowed to do work for major competitors.
