As Marvel Drop "Buy Physical, Get Digital" Codes, DC Pick Them Up, As Monthly Superhero Comics Go $3.99

bagirl-bop-cv-9Bleeding Cool was the first to tell you that, in April, DC Comics is increasing the price of their monthly superhero titles to $3.99, while the price for the twice-monthly comics stays at $2.99.

Well in a press release, DC Comics has confirmed the news but have added that the fifteen titles that move from $2.99 to $3.99 will include a digital download code for that very issue.

This "Buy Physical Get Digital" approach was just the one that Marvel have now abandoned, in favour of a giving away three classic digital comics each week to anyone who buys a Marvel $3.99 title.

In April, you will be able to find the codes in the following now-$3.99 titles Batgirl, Batgirl & The Birds of Prey, Batman Beyond, Batwoman, Blue Beetle, Cyborg, The Hellblazer, New Super-Man, Red Hood & The Outlaws, Super Sons, Supergirl, Superwoman, Teen Titans, Titans, Trinity and in the pre-existing $4.99 title All-Star Batman.

Something worth shouting about?
