Jeff Kaplan Explains The PTR For Overwatch And Answers Some Frequently Asked Questions

You ever had a gaming friend talk about changes to an upcoming game you love like they had insider information. And they keep referring to the PTR but you really have no idea what that is? Well, for those of you who say yes to that… Jeff Kaplan from the Overwatch development team is here to help. The PTR, 'public test region' or 'public test realm' is a server set up with upcoming changes that developers are planning on implementing. The PTR allows them to not only get feedback from players on the changes, but all test how well the changes function. Kaplan explains what they are trying to do with the PTR and other questions that they are frequently asked like: Why is there no PTR for consoles? What can players get for going to the PTR? And what are you doing with Sombra?
