Marc Jackson's Goons Of The Galaxy

This month sees the full launch, or blast-off, of the further adventures of GOONS OF THE GALAXY. Goonsis the comic of mine that first appeared in Volume 23 of Aces Weekly back in July last year and was then snapped up for a further 3 volumes (25, 28 and 30) by my esteemed publisher V for Vendetta's David Lloyd, no less.

Issue 2 wrapped up with a cliff-hanger just this week, but fans of the series won't see issue 3 until the end of May this year as Aces is jam-packed until then with other fine comics. I've had a ball writing and drawing this comic and I think it's my best work so far, so I thought about producing new mini-adventures in-between now and then. But what to do with them? Well, I've tried to get Patreon off the ground a few times and I wondered that if I tied it in with a semi-known comic, maybe that would work. Offering new episodes could appeal to fans from Aces and then, maybe new readers could discover the first comics on Aces if they came to my Patreon first, keeping David happy :) making the circle complete.

The campaign is live now (with a Holiday Special mini-comic, character designs etc) and I've got a small group of loyal followers already and on Wednesday 11th of January, the first brand new comic starts up. Each week I'll upload concepts and character designs on Monday and Friday with a couple of pages of the story on Wednesdays. They'll introduce new characters, alongside characters you may already know and then the fun starts as the two potentially crossover, which hopefully will up the interest in both Patreon and Aces fans seeking out both.
