Walking Dead #163 Explodes Over Advance Reorders
Greetings from the coal face of the direct comics market. Where retailers try to increase their orders of certain comics ahead of sale. Where supply and demand and most accurately reflected, where you can see which books are hot, where new orders are coming in and how retailers are reacting to new, unanticipated desire! This morning it was announced that The Walking Dead #163 had preorders of 730,000. Now they are at 755,000. No wonder there is only one comic book that could possibly be at the top of this chart. But there are strong performances from Marvel's Star Wars titles, Thor, All-New X-Men, Bullseye and Old Man Logan are picking up sales, as well as Paper Girls, Hellboy, Planet Of The Apes/Green Lantern and Batman.
