Dan Slott Coming To Birmingham's ICE In September (Or Not… UPDATE)
Amazing Spider-Man writer Dan Slott is a bit of an Anglophile. He lived here for a while, and he manages to get references to Britain and British TV shows in most things he writes.
And in September he is coming back – to Birmingham.
The ICE Birmingham comic convention is scheduled in the city for the 9th September. And Bleeding Cool has learned that he will be the headlining guest…
Expect ticket sales to be brisk in response to the news. And see how many photos you can get of him thwipping with the other invitees.
UPDATE: Organisers of the show have contacted the site, firstly to say that the story was not true, then subsequently after I pointed out the letter below from the show organisers, that Dan's appearance isn't official – although they have confirmed Batman/TMNT and He-Man/Thundercats artist Freddie Williams II.

This is just a very quick email to inform you in advance that we have managed to obtain spider-man writer Dan Slott as our headline guest for ICE Birmingham on 9th September 2017 :-)He'll be joining our already impressive guest list and many more creators we have yet to confirm.
We will not be announcing Dan Slott publicly for a little while, but I really wanted to give you guys on this mailing list a heads up as due to the huge popularity of this creator we do expect to sell out of our early bird advanced tickets quite quickly when we do announce.
