Star Wars: Battlefront 2 Probably Won't Have Conquest Mode

Conquest mode in Star Wars: Battlefront 2 (the old one) was excellent. It is essentially where I spent most of my time with the game, and it was an incredibly clever way of framing the battlefields of the title. With EA vowing to change and expand Star Wars: Battlefront 2 (the upcoming one), many had hoped the mode might come back in the upcoming sequel set for later in 2017.

Sadly it doesn't seem like the mode is coming. Speaking to a fan on Twitter, Associate Design Director at DICE, Dennis Brännvall responded to a fan asking if Conquest might return in the seuqel. Sadly, it doesn't look like it is. He said:

Of course, I really do think DICE are going to expoand the game quite a bit, with single player and a bigger package. I'm not willing to jump on anyone yet, despite how mich I like Conquest. This could be a case of thinking you know what you want, without knowing what you want because you don't know there is something else you want. Does that make sense? I think that makes sense.
