A Comic Show – Novas And Motorcycles

Aaron Haaland, of A Comic Shop in Orlando, Florida, writes,

Hey Fandom, we're back with another stack of new comics now! This week's biggest book is Star Wars Doctor Aphra #1, and if you were reading Darth Vader you should continue here. Aphra feature the same Vader creative team and supporting cast, it's your new place for homicidal droids. Soule and Noto's Poe Dameron volume one "Black Squadron" is out. The new Nova book is much like Blue Beetle, the dead predecessor is back to make it awkward! Long live Rich Rider! Slapstick #1 was actually funny, and I enjoyed the cartoon character interacting with the real world gimmick more than I thought I would (think Roger Rabbit, Son of Zorn, or Space Jam). Clone Conspiracy #3 had the big reveal. I mention what I liked about a few other books too, but Motor Crush #1 by the Batgirl of Burnside team was the best creator owned title of the week. It's fast sci-fi adventure ride that's hyper violent, but not as dark and dirty as Mad Max…these people still have water, tech, and plenty of neon.
