That Dragon, Cancer Developer's Acceptance Speech Was The Most Important Moment At The Game Awards

Amidst all of the hoohah last night at The Game Awards, with Death Stranding and Mass Effect: Andromeda trailers dropping, it might be easy to forget the human element of making and rewarding video games.

That all was put into perspective at one very pivotal moment last night. That Dragon, Cancer is a docu-game created by a father, Ryan Green, chronicaling the story of his son being diagnosed and eventually succumbing to cancer. It's a tough game to play, and quite deservedly won the Games for Impact award last night. Green took to the stage in a heart rending acceptance speech, really showcasing the good awards can do, and the importance of highlighting important work.

While the trailers for big games are always fun, make sure you take a moment to watch this too.
