This was a very interesting episode as a few things happened that might be a surprise. The episode involved SHIELD trying to locate Lucy Bauer and Eli Morrow before they can use the Darkhold. But things are interrupted when Director Jeffrey Mace arrives to take custody of Robbie Reyes and Daisy Johnson. So the team takes Robbie, Daisy and the recently picked up Gabe Reyes, put them in the containment pod and hang them other the ship as Mace and his crew search it.

While in the pod, Robbie finally tells his brother about the Ghost Rider and how it happened. We know they were shot up by a gang, well it turns out the gang was hired by Paul Bauer to kill Eli. The mistake was because Robbie was driving Eli's car. Gabe tells his version of what happened that included the car flipping, him being trapped and not feeling his legs and Robbie being thrown clear. Then a good Samaritan arrived, pulled him from the car and then helped Robbie up. But Robbie has a different version that calls the Samaritan the devil. What we get to see is a motorcycle pull up and a different Ghost Rider save Gabe then bring Robbie back to life by sharing his power.

Now we had the Easter Egg last week showing the circus poster from where Johnny Blaze used to stunt ride, so it seems likely that the other Ghost Rider is Blaze… but it could also be Danny Ketch. Sadly the Ghost Riders don't wear name tags and the writer's may leave it unknown so it doesn't affect any future plans.

Back on the ship, Mace notices the containment pod missing and pulls it in. Tell Phil Coulson to turn the ship around so they can take Daisy and Robbie in. Robbie releases his fiery side who breaks out of the pod to everyone's surprise. Mace tries to stop him but ends up just getting beaten on until Gabe calms Robbie down.

Meanwhile, Leo Fitz has figured a connections between what Bauer and the others were doing and how it ties to Isodyne Energy, the group who were playing with Zero Matter (Dark Matter) on the second season of Marvel's Agent Carter. He also figures out they need more power and where they might get it from.

The team, with Robbie, invade the damn were Bauer is going to recreate the experiment… but we learn that Uncle Eli wasn't the innocent guy trying to stop the evil people… he was an even more evil guy wanting the power for himself, and now that he has the book, he gets the power. We end with Eli tapping into the Dark Force that allows him to create matter. I don't see an obvious correlation between Eli and an existing Marvel villain…. but we have 4 weeks to see if we can find one as the show won't be back until November 29th.
