Luke Cage Showrunner Says He Wanted Prince To Appear In The Series

Luke Cage seems to be going down pretty well, with the hero really bringing a new flavour to the MCU. It's use of music is a huge selling point too, with many loving the hip hop vibe of the show.

It seems that there was a plan to bring in a music legend too, but it unfortunately never came to pass. Taking to Twitter, showrunner Cheo Hodari Coker, explained that before Prince's all too soo death, he was going to try and get the star in for a cameo. He planned to convince the muscian by showing the artist the swear jar that features throughout the series, a practice Prince famously upheld at Paisley Park.

He explained:

It's a really sad this never came to pass, especially under these circumstances.
