A Comic Show – Black Champions Matter In This Best Week Of Comics
Aaron Haaland of A Comic Shop in Orlando, Florida, writes,
Hey Fandom! HOLY CRAP this is an amazing week for comics! Marvel Now is full of wins: Now Champions, Cage, Jessica Jones, Death of X! And Deadpool Back In Black is literally a Venom Deadpool! Also, The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl Beats Up The Marvel Universe is the OGN all her fans deserve.
DC had great starts to new story arc starts for rebirth books. New minis for second stringers like Death of Hawkman, Deadman, and Midnighter Apollo, but what really got me cheering was The Flintstones and He-Man vs Thundercats!
Image had two huge releases: Green Valley by Max Landis, and Moonshine by the 100 Bullets team of Azz and Risso. Archie Meets Ramones. And Black Mask's new book BLACK is a well executed take on current issues, but what if there were super humans in real life, and what if all those with super powers were black?!
