Live Action Phil Coulson Vs Comic Book Phil Coulson

Agent Phil Coulson has had a very interesting history in the Marvel Universe. He was an amalgamation of a few agents in the first Iron Man film that director Jon Favreau pulled together and cast his friend Clark Gregg. The character appeared in Thor and Iron Man 2 before he was then killed in the Avengers, bringing the team together. But his popularity convinced the powers that be to not only bring him back to life and give him the lead of a TV series, but to also introduce the character into the comic universe. Now Marvel has done not one, but two Marvel 101s recently to showcase the character.

Marvel's Agents of SHIELD returned last night and I will do a recap of the episode shortly.
