Batman: The Animated Series Comes To View-Master VR

DC Entertainment announced via press release that they are partnering with Mattel and OTOY (an L.A. based cloud graphics specialist) to bring Batman: The Animated Series to a virtual reality experience on the latest version of the View-Master. But this isn't the old stereoscopic photo viewer from when we were kids, the new version is basically a virtual reality headset that works with any Android or iOS phone.

"We are extremely excited for our fans to be able to experience 'Batman: The Animated Series' in a new and immersive way," said Sam Register, President, Warner Bros. Animation and Warner Digital Series.

This will be the first of many Warner Bros characters to find their way to the virtual reality platform as their deal with OTOY is to produce even more content.

"OTOY is the perfect partner to create new VR content for View-Master," said Mark Morse, Director Advanced Concepts at Mattel. "The Batman experience (is) just a glimpse into the incredible things to come from this collaboration."
