The Hero Initiative Brings Steve Englehart To Baltimore

Ave_114_SavI did a small convention in San Jose many years back and was on a panel about comic writing with Steve Englehart. It was one of the panel I've most enjoyed being on, not only because of the stories he had to tell, but the realization that he and I approached writing comic differently. Where I'm a character first storyteller, he lets plot dictate the path. It was an extremely enjoyable and educational hour.

Folks going to the Baltimore Comic Con on September 2nd – 4th will have a chance to visit with Engelhart and get their comics signed thanks to the Hero Imitative. The charity organization that races money to help comic creators in need is bringing the writer to the convention for all three days.

Englehart has worked on many different titles including The Avengers, Captain America, Detective Comic, Doctor Strange, Green Lantern and Justice League of America. He's also the co-creator of Mantis, the newest member of the Guardians of the Galaxy to be played by Pom Klementieff in the second film directed by James Gunn.
