Derek Maddalena Leaves DC Comics – More DC Job Elimination And Restructuring Details

maddalena-a9617Yesterday, Bleeding Cool reported on the dismissal of VP -Marketing Carol Roeder from DC Comics, amid significant restructuring at the publisher.

We have been able to confirm through discussion with DC's business partners, the news that Derek Maddalena, Senior VP – Sales & Business Development has also been dismissed. Derek took the role in 2014, and was seen to be replacing the long standing Bob Wayne.

John Cunningham, former VP – Content Strategy has been moved into that role, and Jim Sokolowski, VP – Comics Speciality & Newstand Sales, who previously reported to Maddalena, will now report to Cunningham.

Expect more details to leak out after last night's staff communication from DC President Diane Nelson.
