Tom Holland's home is pretty close to mine in Kingston-Up[on-Thames. I know his dad, comedian, writer and presenter Dominic Holland and we have occasionally worked together.

So I can reject Stan Lee's hypothesis that Tom Holland was somehow created by Marvel for the role.
