Comic People React To Orlando Shootings

Today saw the largest mass shooting in US history, as a terrorist gunman shot up the gay nightclub Pulse in Orlando, Florida. At least 50 people are confirmed as dead and over 53 were injured. The suspected gunman has been identified by Police as 29-year-old Omar S. Mateen.

There was one issue however that was being raised. Gay, lesbian, bisexual and trans people in the state of Florida are banned from donating blood.

As has been repeatedly pointed out, all blood is tested for HIV and the like, but that which is positive is destroyed and that has an extra cost to it.

However it has been announced that in the wake of this attack, this may be changing.

Hopefully this won’t be a temporary thing.  And there was also another issue at the heart of it all.
