This is Sergeant Blast from Wacky Races. On the left. In the middle is Private Meekly. They ride the Army Surplus Special.tumblr_npzyf0hp9s1sqf5tdo4_1280

 

That's him. Well, in today's Wacky Raceland comic from Hanna-Barbera owners Warner Bros' DC Comics, all the familiar characters get revamped. In a Mad Max Fury Road fashion.

So, yes, there are many, many, many changes to the characters, from gender to ethnic identity and general moral outlook. But Sergeant Blast, may be one of the most noteworthy.

But it's not a safe space for anyone. Wacky Raceland #1 is published today by DC Comics.

And regarding the title question, Scooby-Doo and Shaggy dressing up really doesn't count.
