The Sims 4 Update Removes All Gender Barriers
The Sims has always been a pretty progressive series. It was easily the biggest mainstream game, way back in 2000, to allow players to engage in same sex relationships.
The franchise is pushing inclusiveness yet again, as the Associated Press revealed that the series has introduced fluid gender associations to The Sims 4. Sims are now able to change their gender at any time, and are allowed to wear any piece of clothing regardless of if they are a man or a woman. The update was worked with in association with LGBT advocacy group GLAAD.
It's really cool to see EA push for this kind of thing, allowing those who are transgendered, and even those who are not, to explore the notion of gender boundaries. Good on EA I say.
