UK ice cream brand Cornetto is looking to help couples keep each other honest when watching a television series together.
According to Ad Week, the company intends to offer “commitment rings” that will prevent partners from sneaking in an extra episode of a favorite show if both are not in front of the screen. The following video illustrates how the rings will work:
For the moment, the commitment ring website is live and taking email address to offer the rings at a later time. The company has not yet closed deals with the streaming giants to make all the technology work. But it seems like a good premise to build a campaign around, even if the rings themselves never really materialize.
