Things To Do In Philadelphia Wednesday If You Like Comics… And Garth Ennis

ennisIf you are in Philadelphia this Wednesday, May 25th, you should consider swinging by Fat Jack's Comicrypt as the cities old comic store is hosting a signing by Garth Ennis. The writer has been all over the comic news lately with last night premiere of AMC's Preacher and talk of The Boys being in development. The signing takes place from 4 PM to 7 PM, but you'll probably want to go early to make sure you get in.

This is part of the store's year long 40th anniversary.

"Myself and the staff at Fat Jacks have been fans of Garth's from his early days. My first recollection of Garth's work was his Judge Dredd following shortly after John Wagner, and then his Hellblazer run at Vertigo. We are very grateful to Garth for making such a rare appearance & spending time with some of his Philadelphia fans" said Mike Ferrero of Fat Jack's Comicrypt.

In addition to Preacher and The Boys, Garth Ennis is known for his legendary nine year run on The Punisher, as well as DC Comics' Hitman series, and has current series with Avatar Press and Dynamite Entertainment, as well as a recently announced trio of reprint releases through Image Comics.
