Check Out This Concept Art From A Cancelled Mega Man Game

Mega Man hasn’t exactly had the greatest of runs recently. In fact, he’s not really had any runs recently, with Capcom failing to capitalise on the IP for years.

It’s not for the lack of trying though. News of several failed games in the series have surfaced, and a brand new one may have just turned up. Coming from rockman-corner.com (via Nintendo Life), speaking at Game Dev Santiago, artist Gonzalo Ordoñez said that he worked on a Mega Man game back in 2010. Here is what he said about the project.

Here is what he had to say on the project:

Our initial plan was to introduce some kind of project similar to the “Pixar” style, but that opinion was not very well received and then it became more of an “Iron Man” concept. You know, it was the time in which the superhero theme was quite popular, thus from the “Pixar” version, it became the “Iron Man” version.

The game never went past the concept

And here is some concept art:

I’m sure one day that Mega Man will come back in his own game. The question I suppose is a question of exactly when and in what form?
