Do I Colour In My Spawn Colouring Book Or Not?

It's a dilemma many may face. But I think mine goes a step further.

Todd McFarlane, along with many other creators and publishers, has realised the appeal of the adult colouring book market. And that they are sitting on lots and lots and lots of black and white artwork, pre-colouring, that could be brought to this market.

And he sent me a copy. Full of Spawn artwork over the twenty-odd years it's been published. Much of it I recognise from the old days, but he even includes his most recent collaborative Spawn work with Erik Larsen, on the cover itself.

Which has me in a dilemma. Do I colour it in?

Firstly, I'm no colourist. I'm really not. It's a skillset I'm very poor at.

Secondly, he's gone and signed the cover, making it a "collectible".

Thirdly, he's really individualised it. Making it even more of a "collectible."

Balls to it. Colouring books are meant to be coloured.

I'm really bad at this….
