DC Super Hero Girls Get Their Own App

DC Super Hero Girls Get Their Own App

DC has released an official app for their DC Super Hero Girls line. The new variation on the classic DC characters has been focused on appealing to young female readers/viewers and has already expanded into an animated special and two graphic novels.

The new app breaks Super Hero High into four sections.

The Heroes section is the best place to go to get to know the Super Hero Girls better. Bios detail each character's strengths and skills and lays out what everyone brings to the team. They also provide details on weapons and super powered accessories.

The movies section is where you canl catch up on all the latest videos starring Super Hero High students and is the place to look out for the second season of the webseries.

In the Games section, you can play two mini-games—Katana Chop and Wonder Woman Shield Defense. There appears to be more games coming soon as there is a slot for a Batgirl themed game.

Once you earn some shields from playing games, head to the Art Room and customize your pictures with some special DC Super Hero Girls flair.

So far the app is only available through the iTunes store but should be available in the near future for Android. The below video is a demo of the app.
