The Comic Book Women Panel Lineup For Emerald City Comic Con '16

Just in time for International Women's Day, comes an announcement from Comic Book Women and what they'll be doing at Emerald City Comic Con 2016! Five panels will offer expert advice for professional comic book creators.

Comic Book Women, an organization of nearly 300 individuals, advocates for greater opportunity, visibility, and recognition for women, as well as trans, genderqueer, and non-binary individuals in the comic book industry.

You Made a Comic — Now Sell It!

Christine Dinh (Boom! Studios), Jen Vaughn (Vertigo), Amanda Meadows (The Devastator), Shy Allot (Oni Press), Rachel Reed (Oni Press), and Alex de Campi (writer) share their pearls of wisdom on marketing creator-owned properties. From crowd-funding to conventions, they'll address the dos and don'ts of getting your work into the hands of your fans. Moderated by Jocelyn Gajeway (My Blacks Don't Match!).

Working in Licensed Comics — How to Play With Other People's Toys

Are you an artist or writer who loves Transformers, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, Adventure Time, or Star Trek? Come hear what it is like to work on their comic-book counterparts, as we discuss the wonderful world of licensed comics! This panel will give a behind-the-scenes look at what it is like to work on officially licensed comic titles from some of the top talent in the industry. Chock-full of tips and tricks for artists and writers, so make sure to come with questions for the panel.
