DC Comics Rebirth: What Happens To Alfred? (SPOILERS)

Apparently one of the rules for the upcoming Superman #50 and Batman #50 retailer exclusive covers is that it can't feature Alfred. Which has led to some folk to believe that Alfred isn't going to make it out of Batman #50 – 52 alive.

That's not the case. However I can reveal one thing…

When this image from Batman #49 went viral, there were some interesting responses.

Did they lop off Alfred's hand? What the Hell is with DC and lopping people's hands off? Oh, we have fantastic superscience that can do everything except either create a robotic hand, transplant a hand or regrow a hand. Our hand science is sadly backwards.

They still haven't gotten Alfred a fake Hacken hand. Jesus christ Bruce

Bleeding Cool has covered the issue of Alfred's missing hand, chopped off by The Joker and on ice since, Alfred refusing to have it grafted back – because they can do that with Gotham technology, even now it seems.

Well, I understand that one effect of the DC Rebirth will to see Alfred back – and double handed.

Acceptance of a hand graft? A shift in the continuity reality? A falsie? That is yet to be revealed…
