Valiant's Character Find Of 2016 – Davey The Mackerel

Valiant has given us another sneak peek at their daily rollout of character teasers featuring the cast of the upcoming A&A: The Adventures of Archer & Armstrong series by Rafer Roberts and David Lafuente…and boy is today's entry is a unique specimen.
Touted by Valiant at panels and in press as a breakout character in the making, feast your eyes on "Davey the Mackerel" – a talking fish/salesman that was long ago socked away in Armstrong's satchel and seems likely to become a regular participant in their ongoing adventures. Think David Mamet writes Looney Tunes with a Brooklyn accent and you might just have the most oddball addition to Valiant's universe since Jeff Lemire introduced the schizoid cartoon called Bloodsquirt in the pages of Bloodshot Reborn last year.
A&A: The Adventures of Archer & Armstrong #1 is in stores March 16th. And, the meantime, check out an advance preview of Davey's first appearance from the first issue:
