The Power Of Love? 3 Reasons Why You Should Read Jonesy

This week brings the release of Jonesy #1 from BOOM! Box, written by Sam Humphries, with art by Caitlin Rose Boyle. I had the honor of reading the first issue quite some time ago, and interviewed the creative team. The truth is, from the moment I laid eyes on Jonesy I was drawn to her character. There was something different about her, something I needed to know more about. Which brings me to my three reasons why you should read the first issue this week…

One: She's a unique main character. Set aside her unique power to make anyone fall in love, and you still have an extremely well thought out character. She's bold, tough, and determined.

Two: You can add it to your list of funny comics. There is a ton of comical moments throughout, and many of them are a result of Jonesy's opinions about things. A great example is her explanation of carnations below…

Three: There will be 999 issues to enjoy. Don't believe me? The quote comes directly from writer Sam Humphries:

The most rewarding part is the next 999 issues of Jonesy that Caitlin and I get to create together.
