Daniel Gerson, Screenwriter On Monsters, Inc. And Big Hero Six Dies At Age 49

Screenwriter Daniel Gerson passed away on Saturday at the age of 49 after battling brain cancer. Gerson co-wrote Monsters, Inc. with Andrew Stanton and worked with Robert L. Baird and Dan Scanlon on Monsters University. He also teamed with Baird and Jordan Roberts for Big Hero Six.

His previously assisted on features Chicken Little, Curious George, Cars, Meet the Robinsons and has credits for TV writing on Big Wolf on Campus, Misguided Angels and The New Addams Family.

Gerson was working on Cars 3 when he passed away. He appeared with Baird in a series of interview clips for Monsters University.
