Beware of the Ghost-Wolf! Klaus #3 Review

STK692956I've been yearning for another issue of Klaus for what feels like forever. This week brought the release of the third issue written by Grant Morrison, with art by Dan Mora, and everyone is on the look out for "the ghost-wolf." In the last issue our main character is successful at delivering toys around town despite the higher-ups wishes. Now the evil Magnus has had enough.

I am actually fascinated by Magnus' character, and that's when you know a villain is good. They can't just be evil. Well, I suppose they can, but all of the good ones have depth to their personality. In this issue we get a big surprise. Magnus is answering to someone. We don't know who yet, but I'm guessing it's an otherworldly type of relationship. You can't get much more intriguing, can you? There was mention of "Santa" in this issue, which came at the right time I'd say. I did find it comical that one of the guards looked just like what we would imagine the Santa we know and love to look like. I won't include it here, because you should spot it yourself.

Besides possessing a heart-pounding script, Klaus is filled with beautiful art. Dan Mora really knows how to illustrate beautifully detailed scenes, and also knows how to make our main character look extra jacked! Overall, I think the third issue was a good one. The pacing was excellent, and we were left with just enough of a cliffhanger to keep us on our toes. I look forward to seeing what Grant Morrison has in store next. If you have any judgement holding you back on reading this comic, throw it to the side. I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Klaus is much more than your typical "Santa" tale. Pick up issue #3 today.
