Werner Herzog Looks At The Internet In Trailer For Lo And Behold: Reveries Of The Connected World

Director Werner Herzog — director of Fitzcarraldo, Rescue Dawn, documentaries like Grizzly Man and the subject of the short film Werner Herzog Eats His Shoe — turns his lens to the Internet age in the trailer for Lo And Behold: Reveries Of The Connected World (via Deadline). Utilizing brief interview clips revealing a few not-so-outlandish outlandish possibilities for the future of the Internet, Herzog takes a look at how interconnectivity could change the human experience.

The director told Deadline, “I think this is the first coherent tour around the horizons of the internet.” He cited his limited use of the technology as an opportunity to “see the contours more sharply.”

The film will screen at the Sundance Film Festival later this week.
