While talking with IGN, actor Mads Mikkelsen said he is “aware” of the popularity and extreme interest in anything to do with Star Wars, including his role in next year’s Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. “But that hat, we can’t wear all the time,” he explained. “We have to focus on each individual scene.” While actually working or preparing for the film, it becomes no different from any other role. “So I think this is one of these things that will dawn on you later when you actually see the film. In the midst of it, it’s a different thing.”
Mikkelsen said he treated his role as Le Chiffre in the first Daniel Craig Bond film, Casino Royale and his turn as Hannibal Lector in the television series Hannibal in the same manner.
Of course, that was just about all he could say about Rogue One and his upcoming role in Doctor Strange, for which he is in the midst of rehearsals. “That is probably the reason why you will see me shot tomorrow,” he joked. “Is for saying that.”
